Meet Abby Kelley

Licensed Professional Counselor in Bend, Oregon

I have spent my career supporting individuals, couples, and families as they navigate some of life’s most challenging and meaningful moments. In private practice, I have the privilege of walking alongside clients as they work through anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, life transitions, and the many experiences that shape who we are.

I believe therapy is built on connection. I bring warmth, authenticity, humor, and a genuine curiosity about each person’s story into the therapy room. My goal is to create a space where you feel safe to be fully yourself—where you can explore the parts of your life that feel difficult, understand the patterns that have developed along the way, and reconnect with who you are underneath it all.

My approach is person-centered and integrative, incorporating Internal Family Systems (IFS), attachment theory, and nervous system-informed perspectives. I believe our struggles often make sense when we understand the experiences, relationships, and protective patterns that shaped us. Together, we can explore those patterns with compassion and create opportunities for healing, growth, and deeper connection.

Before moving into private practice, I worked in crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and domestic violence support through national crisis lines serving individuals across the United States and Canada. These experiences shaped my ability to sit with people in some of their hardest moments while offering presence, compassion, and support.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Portland State University and my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Oregon State University. I have completed additional training in PACT (Psychobiological Approach to Couple Therapy) Level 1 and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Inner Circle.

Outside of the therapy room, I love spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, and soaking up the little moments that bring connection and joy. I believe life is made up of both the hard seasons and the beautiful ones—and I bring that same belief into the work I do with my clients.
